Greene King Abbot Ale
Ingredients: Pale, Crystal and Amber malts; First Gold, Challenger, Pilgrim and Fuggles hops – late-hopped with Fuggles.
First brewed in the 1950s. Bottles have been sterile filtered since May 2006.

Originally brewed by Crown Buckley as Reverand James Original Ale, the brand was kept by Brains when they aquired Crown Buckley in 1998.

The Rev. James is named after the founder of Buckley’s Brewery the Reverend James Buckley (1770 – 1839). It is brewed to a traditional recipe and has been described as having a flavour not commonly available these days. Full-bodied and warming, The Rev. James is rich in palate, spicy and aromatic with a deeply satisfying finish.
